Taylor’s Stor

Our Podcast “Legacy Lawyers” will have some new faces (and voices). Today, we would like to introduce you to another fantastic lawyer from Voyant Legal, Taylor Stone, J.D.

William Taylor Stone III

Meet William Taylor Stone III, who prefers to go by Taylor. Taylor’s father goes by Bill. Taylor’s grandfather went by William, and Taylor’s Son William Taylor Stone IV goes by Liam.

Marriage and Early Career

Along with being a member of the Utah Bar and the Idaho Bar, Taylor is a Sergeant First Class in the army national guard. He has been in the service for over 17 years. Taylor married his wife Kara about 14 years ago, and his only active duty deployment began just three months after the wedding. Taylor and Kara have 6 fantastic children together. The oldest is almost 13, the youngest is 4. They have lived in Idaho and Northern Utah throughout their marriage.

Law School

Taylor knew he wanted to pursue additional education, and had always been drawn to law school. His wife encouraged him to make some changes to his active duty status to enable him to have the time that further education would require.

While deciding on his plans for school and his future, Taylor was in the same unit with two other individuals who were in law school. He had always felt drawn to the profession and moved forward with that momentum.

Taylor is an Idaho native and graduated from Idaho State University with his undergraduate degree and Idaho University College of Law. Taylor and his wife had 5 kids when he started law school, and his youngest was born while he was in his second year.

His primary reason for choosing the law profession was a desire to help people. During law school, Taylor was interested in property law, but after taking his classes on wills and trusts, he knew that estate law was the way he wanted to help people.

Why Voyant Legal?

After Law School, Taylor saw an ad for Voyant Legal and was very interested in the business model. Voyant Legal has a unique focus on creating relationships of trust with clients, rather than being a “will mill” and cranking out legal documents as fast as they can. Taylor found Mike & Nathan’s commitment to going above and beyond for their clients refreshing. He could see that Voyant Legal was really using the law to help their clients long term with their unique business model.

In the two years Taylor has worked with Voyant Legal, he has had the opportunity to see that there are still great people in our world who are willing to act unselfishly and help others. He loves that at Voyant Legal he gets to meet people who really do still take care of each other, and he loves working for a law firm that helps people provide for others.
